Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Logic Writer desktop application, the Logic Writer Companion app and the website logicwriter.online ("Logic Writer", "we", "us"). Logic Writer is developed and operated by an independent developer based in Vietnam. By buying or using Logic Writer you agree to these terms.

1. Purchases

Card and PayPal orders are processed by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoicing and sales tax/VAT. You may also pay by bank transfer to the account shown on the website, using the transfer note given there; the license is sent by email once the payment is received. Prices are shown in USD on the website at the time of purchase.

2. License

When you buy a license we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the software on computers you own or control. All plans are one-time purchases and the desktop licenses do not expire:

• Founder: Logic Writer desktop license for life, the updates released in the first twelve months, and twelve months of Logic Writer Online.
• Founder + World Map: everything in Founder, plus a lifetime license for the World Map Editor.
• World Map Editor: a lifetime license for the standalone World Map Editor. It works offline and does not include Logic Writer Online.

You may not resell, sublicense or redistribute the software or license keys.

2a. Logic Writer Online membership

Logic Writer Online provides sync between your devices and mobile writing. The membership included with Founder plans lasts twelve months from purchase and does not renew automatically. After it ends you may choose to renew; the desktop app keeps working offline whether or not you renew.

3. Your content

Everything you write in Logic Writer belongs to you. Your projects are stored on your own computer; we do not receive, read or claim any rights to your manuscripts. You are responsible for keeping backups (the app can export a full project ZIP).

4. Companion app

The Companion app for editors and translators is free. It only opens packs that the author chooses to share.

5. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to bypass licensing, reverse engineer the software except where law allows, or use Logic Writer to break any law.

6. Warranty and liability

Logic Writer is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee it will be free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for your license.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
